
Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (120mL) room temperature margarine
- 1/2 cup (120mL) granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (60mL) brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup (240mL) all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp (2mL) salt
- 1 tsp (5mL) vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp (2mL) baking soda
- 1 cup (240mL) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cream together margarine, granulated & brown sugar, egg and vanilla extract until mixture is light and fluffy.
- In a separate bowl combine flour, salt and baking soda.
- Once combined, stir into margarine mixture.
- Add in chocolate chips, mix until thoroughly integrated into the rest of the batter.
- Line baking tray with parchment paper. Place approximately a tablespoon of batter per cookie. Make sure to leave adequate spacing between cookies.
- Bake in oven for 9 minutes.
- Let cool for at least five minutes before eating. Enjoy!
